Robert Taylor

I want to take a moment and say that I’ve met someone extraordinary. He is an actor, a writer, a father, and a mentor (though he’d claim to be all and none of those). Most certainly he is one of the people I would take with to start the human race over again. (I have a list of people I would take with to start the human race over again).

His name is Robert. He is 6ft tall, but seems taller; He is thin like a bean pole, but seems larger; His face has many lines, though he seems ancient, and much, much younger than you, or I.

He is everything, and nothing. A wall, and a road. A giant, and a rose.

Because of him, I feel better, smarter, and faster. I also feel like I know absolutely nothing about anything (but I already didn’t know that before).

I once asked Robert…

Me: What do you do?
Robert: I don’t know.

He told me everyone was dead. Everyone on the subway. Sometimes he sees them alive. He sees them alive, he sees them breathing, and then he watches them die. He feels sad to have been a witness.

He explained to me that there is energy coming from behind you, and it’s been there since before you were born, and it will continue way after you’re dead, and all you have to do to ‘enter the space’ (take your life, be heard, move forward) is put your sound outside of yourself. Put your sound outside of yourself, [and if you can] put your ear to it.

I’ve never met anyone like him, and I doubt I ever will again.
